In principle it should be possible to play any old Windows game in 3d on a 3d display device, assuming you have a supported Nvidia card and these drivers:

http://www.nvidia.com/object/3dtv-play-overview.html

I am interested in upgrading my 2d projector to 3d mostly for this reason and I was wondering if anyone had done this. I know that with some projectors, lag could be a real issue. I guess there could also be an issue with the projector frame rate--some folks say 30 Hz per eye is not enough for gaming.

If anyone has looked in to this I would love to hear your findings.

Been doing that for a while and not much else to say other than 'it works'.

You'll discover that most (not all) 3D gaming will be in 720p (even on 1080p 3D capable projectors since we are still waiting for 1080p 60hz/eye - 120Hz).

Try Trine 2, if you go down this path, and be amazed. wink.gif

I tried Guild Wars 2 in 3D. It was pretty good, but honestly nothing to write home about IMHO. For some reason gaming in 3D bugs my eyes much moreso than 3D movies. I have a DLP projector with active shutter glasses and the 3D is phenomenal (zero ghosting), but I think the active glasses may hamper 3D gaming in terms of potential headaches, especially if you're having really long sessions (Raids in WoW, for example).
