Just wanted to share my excitment and maybe get a little advice.

I tried switching to an xbox 360 exclusivley for gaming, as nice a system it is it just can't replace a PC for my gaming tastes, especially after seeing how beatiful Dark messiah is on the PC, a concole just can't come close to a solid mid-high range PC. So I sold off most my games and ordered some new PC parts including a Intel Core 2 CPU.

I plan on doing some overclocking so any advice is appreciated, especially on cooling. I am very comfortable building pcs and such but this will be the first overclock system Im putting together. I bought very overclock friendly parts according to reviews with this in mind.

CPU-
Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 Conroe 1.86GHz 2M sharing L2 Cache LGA 775 Processor
(This thing has been reported to be able to be overclocked up to 3.00 ghz easy with stock cooling)

Motherboard-
GIGABYTE GA-965P-DS3 Socket T (LGA 775) Intel P965 Express ATX Intel Motherboard
(Seen lots of posts this is very OC friendly and a decent board for the price)

RAM-
240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 667 (PC2 5400), cas latency 4, timing 4-4-4-12, 2.0v, has heat spreaders
(Cant belive how much ram has gone up in the last week, 1 stick went up $40)

Video Card-
eVGA 256-P2-N560-RX Geforce 7900GT 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card (Got a refurb for $200, great card worse case ill have to rma to evga)(Didn’t do SLI because I wont be in a postion to buy 2 new higher end cards and would rather upgrade to 1 better card for upgrades)

Hard Drive-
WesternDigital 320 GB SATA Hard Drive, 16mb cache Buffer,7200rpm, 8.9ms seek time

Monitor-
SAMSUNG 205BW Black 20" 6ms Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 700:1 0.258mm Pixel Pitch, 1680x1050
(Looks like a great monitor for the price)

I plan on of course running at stock speeds to make sure it all works and then do some lighter overclocking until I fugure out my cooling needs which I will likley buy locally
