I just ordered a G15. I was just curious who has one, if you like it, and what mods you're using on it. Also, is there an up to date list of supported games? The list on Logitech's site is out of date.

I like it. The colored keys are nice for home theatre situations. And the screen gives great info while your playing Battlefield 2142. I always check my Kill/Death ratio and other stats on the keyboard now.

Once you get it I found the best mode was this quick switch mode where you can switch the screen to different modes just by pressing one button.

Finally, I find the keyboard keys feel great. Solid construction. My only wish would be that it was a smaller.

I love mine. I don't have any mods for it, though. The LCD is great, and it actually display some useful stuff in games. In Prey, it shows the direction your character is actually in (which can be confusing in that game). My only beef is that when skipping tracks using the media manager controls with itunes, it skips two tracks for some reason.

I got mine last night. I installed a few mods. Here's some shots of the BF2 mod.

Is the LCD bright enough to be annoying in a dark room? Can you adjust the brightness?

You can adjust it or even turn it off.

I really like mine but I don't even have any mods for it. The illumination is nice for lights out gaming though. FEAR was the perfect game to turn the lights out for.

The teamspeak mod is great and very helpful. I made a quick video last night of it in action:

There's no real sound to the video though.

I agree that the LCD is quite good as is the key illumination but I find all the 'G' keys to be pretty useless. I also think the volume dial feels cheap. I wanted a new keyboard and had best buy gift cards so I grabbed it. If I had actually 'paid' for it, I think I may feel kind of ripped off for the price they get for it.

I love my G15. I haven't used the G keys too much yet, but I love the LCD and backlit keys for gaming at night.

I have noticed the lights getting a little dimmer even on the highest setting. Has anyone opened theirs up and changed a bulb? Specifically near the F9-F12 keys it looks like the light isn't even on.

My 1st gen G15 is worn out. The WASD keys are all gone/faded.... I do have a spare 1st gen G15 in waiting . No LCD or lighting fade tho.

I use SirReal's plug in and highly recommend it. It can integrate with fraps, show cpu, temps, network, teamspeak, sound volume etc. all at the same time. If you haven't checked it out, seriously give it a try!

I love my G-15, wouldn't trade it for anything. I need to try more mods on it though.

I had a 1st gen. I loved it. Got beat to hell and still held up. A few drinks spilled etc.

I finally decided to replace it. I got the 2nd gen. I like it even more. I like not having the flip up LCD.

Just saw there's a G19 that is being released - Even snazzier and with a 320x200 color LCD. $200 though.

Nice I want the G19...but $200 ????? Wonder if the WASD keys will wear out tho. Hope not since they suppose to have fix'd it in the 2nd gen G15.

Not a headphone user, didn't like the G9 mouse, not sure about the game keypad since I never use my Belkin Nostromo G50.

Also the G19 @ $200. Why not put metal cap keys on the WASD, another company is doing that.

I've had the first gen G15 and I do think it is a decent keyboard.

However, I never use those macro keys on the left and as HTPC keyboard it sucks that it is so big. I need lit keyboard keys, small form factor, but does not do anything with the usual key layout in terms of HOME, PGUP, PGDOWN, type keys.

Yeah, I do, but not for a HTPC. Too bulky.

I've never owned a logitech keyboard until my Dinivo. Does the text on Logitech keys "wear" off? If so, I would avoid them. I've put many hours on el cheapo $5 keyboards and never had the letters wear off. lol. Maybe my fingers aren't as "greasy" as other people's (?).

I guess I must have a 2nd gen model. My keys seem fine and get tons of use. At the same time, like cohagen said, I never use the stupid extra keys. I like the little display and the backlight but the rest is literally unused. I used a gift card I got for Christmas one year to get mine. No way in hell would I spend even the 129$ or whatever it cost if it were my own money! 2 bills for a keyboard that isn't one of the sweet spring based clicky ones? Nah.

I still have a true IBM AT (needs an AT to PS2 adapter) mech keyboard made in Ireland. It cost'd ~$200+ CDN back in the late 80's. I can prob hit and kill somebody with it and still have it functional. Weighs a ton...

1st gen G15 are blue with the flip LCD, 2nd gen are amber with the fixed LCD.

They may have correct them on the later 1st gens. Mine was one of the first ones available. I also don't use the macro's. Just wore out the WASD keys...too much FPS i guess... I do have late 1st gen G15 still in the box for backup.

I just don't see any need for the LCD. Your sitting right in front of your PC, why would you need to watch Youtube on it?

The headphones do look nice though.
