My recent Oppo experience...
My beloved BDP-83 is about 5 years old now. About 3 months ago i started seeing the tray eject issue just about everyone seems to get eventually.
It was not terrible, but it did get steadily worse so I contacted Oppo and they were (of course) super easy to deal with and very quick to respond to my e-mails.
I paid to ship it to them. They told me they might charge flat $79 if they had to use any significant new parts. But I was lucky, it just needed a good internal cleaning so I did not get charged. They only had it for 1 day then shipped it back to me at their expense.
My 83 is like new again. Glad I took the time to do it, but I really missed not having it for 2 weeks (I live on the east coast).
Oppo's customer service is second to none. Someday, when I get a 4K UHD tv, I will not hesitate to get a new 4K player from them!
