Did the update, and just out of curiosity, put in one of my BluRay movies, and was pleasantly surprised to see that it played just fine. Tried it with a couple of others, and they all played OK. BTW, firmware update is M02.R.193
Thank you, I know this is an old player but I still use mine too, bedroom, and it is still going strong.
