This is probably just a case of confusion between the activation of VUDU in your player and your account on their server.

Go into Setup > Device Setup and de-activate VUDU on the player. Then power cycle the player. Then see if you can launch the VUDU app and log-in again. If you can launch the app, but still can not log in, go check your VUDU account via a web browser on your computer. You may have too many devices activated against your account for example.

If you can't launch the app at all after the first steps, give OPPO Tech Support a call or email.

I recently received an oppo bdp-93 as a gift from a friend. Needless to say I'm blown away by the picture. But I have an issue with the bass. I have it hooked up to my pioneer receiver and I have 2 pb2000s hooked up to the receiver. The subs are not hitting as hard as they used too. Any advice or help would be appreciated.

We need WAY more information about how the player is connected to the Pioneer. If its a digital connection, the issue is in the AVR. If the AVR supports it, be sure the player is set to output bitstream over whatever connection you are using.

The Speaker Configuration stuff in the OPPO is only for its Analog audio outputs. If you are using HDMI Audio (whether LPCM or Bitstream) it is the speaker and related settings in you AVR which control how it works.

I'd start by looking for a setting in your AVR that has to do with Dynamic Range Control -- perhaps for "night listening" -- and make sure that is turned OFF.

Then you should check your speaker levels with a calibration disc -- preferably using a Sound Pressure Level (SPL) meter so you are not just trusting your ears. For example the LPCM 5.1 or LPCM 7.1 Channel ID test tracks from AIX Audio Calibration, Blu-ray. Check that all the speakers and the Subwoofer are producing the same output level when played with HDMI Audio to your AVR like this.

Just everything is the same onmy avr. The only thing different is a different bluray player. Just scenes light flight of the Phoenix doesn't dig as deep.

Are you using the same HDMI Input on the AVR? If not, then odds are there's a Settings difference between how the AVR handles those two inputs. Also, double check you are playing the same audio track off the disc.

^ SOMETHING is different in the AVR if your other information is accurate. Bitstream is Bitstream. It's the AVR that is processing it, not the OPPO.

What audio track format are you playing off that disc? What does the 93 report in its Info lines when playing that? What does the AVR say it is receiving?

^ Could something like the secondary audio setting be at play here?

^ The photos he published show Secondary Audio set to OFF. He's also stated he's using HDMI audio and not Analog audio despite also posting photos of the Speaker Configuration settings. If either of those have been incorrectly described, then there are easy answers here.

missyman,
Double check that your Secondary Audio setting in the OPPO is still set to OFF.

Also, temporarily change the HDMI Audio setting in the OPPO from BITSTREAM to OFF and confirm that you lose audio output.

No, I only just started using Netflix and noticed that I could not get 5.1 surrounds from the player, the picture quality was not the best and the app was just old and not updated. I could not see basic things about the movie, such as audio, ratings etc. When I purchased the NvidiaShield and the Amazon Fire Stick it was like I entered into the 21st Century.

Not a surprise there, the app hasn't been updated in ages (and won't be). Still have a BDP-93 and only use it for CD/SACD and compatible blu-ray discs. Most streaming units get regularly updated and are a good option for Netflix.
