^ Talk to OPPO before installing any special, limited release versions like that. Such versions have not been released publicly because there are likely known problems in them for certain configurations. OPPO can help you decide whether a special version of firmware is worth a shot based on the problem you are having and your configuration.

If you have a LOT of them, consider getting a regular media box that handles ISO files. Several of the current batch can handle 4K displays.

You should report this to OPPO. I am still seeing volume labels on directly attached drives, but am not using a hub.

Try rebooting the hub.

My 93 has always had some degree of flakiness with USB drive labels, or failing to mount them in the first place. Always cleared by combinations of rebooting and/or hot plugging/unplugging the drives.

Last suggestion is to do a reset to defaults of the player, then unplug it and hold down the power button for 30 sec, then reboot.

Thank you Sir will try that, Emailed Oppo but its a holiday weekend per Monday. Its been like that for weeks for the labels as its labels just went away same drives forever,Even before HDCP 2.2 issue, with the beta firmware installed, the settings stayed,so it makes sense as it has not been reset to defaults in years,Thanks so much,Regards, Michael

You don't need a converter for 2D Bluray: just mount the ISO using RedFox Virtual CloneDrive and copy the entire folder/file structure to a named folder; the Oppo 93 will play folder/file structure generally the same as an ISO. However, the ISO must be already unprotected: if it's simply an Imgburn copy, it will need to be passed through AnyDVD HD to remove the protection. The Oppo 93 won't play a protected ISO or folder/file structure.

3D Bluray are a different kettle of fish as they use sector mapping in an ISO to halve the actual referenced file sizes, so when you copy the folder/file structure you get approximately double the disc size. There is a way around this: you can delete the 2D movie m2ts files from the folder to reduce it to close to the original disc size and the 3D files will still play, but I'm not sure if it can be played as 2D. Alternatively, I think BDRebuilder can create a new folder/file with just the 3D movie only.

Of course you can use other software to convert the ISO into other forms such as mkv, but if you want to keep menus and extras, then an ISO or its folder/file structure equivalent is necessary.

All of thre ISO files in question are 5.1 music files,so i will make time for those, Now i have created another monster of trying to rename drives per Oppo, now 2 of the drives say they must be formatted, one drive is 3/4 full the other not much of anything,The third Toshiba drive now says Toshiba again,Good Grief, Thank You for those options

Music files are DVD structure I believe. IIRC, only DVD ISO will play on an Oppo 93, not DVD folder/file structure: it's different for Bluray.

So yes, you will likely need a converter for music files. FLAC is the main "free" lossless codec, but not sure if a 93 with latest firmware will play it natively (I'm not really into music).

The 93 does support FLAC; I don't recall the number of channels.

Well, one thing to make sure is that you have High-Speed hdmi cable through the whole path even if it's not 4K, I did have to bite the bullet and Update to Oppos latest firmware, I wish I had tried swapping cables first. I hate losing ISO but what can you do? There are programs that will covert to 5.1 DVD-A but you loose graphics. See what happens when you break the law, crime doesn't pay! Seriously, I own the dvd-a's i should be able to do whatever I want

ISO is not really required for Bluray: there are folder/file and remux options for 3D.

DVDs unfortunately are different in that they won't play as folder/file, only ISO, but you can always burn a backup to DVD-R and play as a disc or convert DVD-A to lossless mkv with video or Bluray folder/file (more complicated but it can be done).

This is assuming playback from USB drive: I'm not sure how practical it is to stream media to the Oppo.
