I thought I would start a thread for this player since although it's mentioned in passing it doesn't have a thread dedicated to it.
In particular the HD-BD2 is one of the first blue-ray players Samsung released.
It contains it's own stereo receiver and comes with a variety of speaker configurations.
Some of the models are:
HT-BD2 - http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/HT-BD2
HT-BD2E - http://www.samsung.com/us/support/ow...roduct/HT-BD2E
HT-BD2ST - http://www.samsung.com/us/support/ow...roduct/HT-BD2S
While you might assume or get confused from Samsungs website, the players do use different firmware. If you're not using the correct firmware you'll get an error such as: Error is detected in the update Please try it again
On January 21st 2011 Samsung released version 1.8 of the firmware for these players.
