Hi

I convert to .m2ts and nothing happens.
Well, I will continue trying other ways but any comment will be appreciated.

If somebody has the same problem, please report to know that I am not alone with this issue.
Thanks

I'll see if I can find time tomorrow to work out getting subtitles to stream, I'll let you know what I figure out.

If the box doesn't support them correctly, then there is a way to do it using the transcoder, it renders the subtitles while it re-encodes the video stream. I'm hoping there is a better way to do it, because this introduces it's own set of problems and the configuration is a pain (which is why I'm not messing with it right now). I used to have it working when I used TVersity to stream to my Xbox 360, before I got the BD75.

Brand new unit. I can get video through HDMI if connected directly to TV, but nothing if I run it through Onkyo HT260. I have another LG blu-ray that works fine. I have tried multiple HDMI ports on back of AVR and player is patched the latest firmware.

Had anybody had this issue?

I bought this off of Amazon and it set in the box for quite awhile before I hooked it up, so no return option.

Already tried two different cables high speed (that's all I have) One was from Monoprice, one was from Bluejean Cables.

Works Ok if you plug it directly through TV, just no video when going through AVR. Going to try to swap cable connections with my LG player.

This is the 4th Panny Bluray I have used and the only one I have had a problem with. Going to try it with a different AVR as well (I have three Onkyo's and a Pioneer).

Just upgraded to 1.33 but problem persists with the player not recognizing the bd OR get message "copyright infringement". This is happening with different bd's from different sources. Don't know why. Anyone else?

Hi there. I had purchased the new Muppets movie on BluRay. It played fine when I tried it out. Then the next day, it wouldn't play at all. It got to preview, then wouldn't load after that. I bought 2 more copies, and the same thing happened. All my other BluRays/DVDs are fine. I am wondering if I should reboot the player so that it can start from scratch? And if I do, how do I do that? And is anyone else having this problem? Any help is much appreciated!

Hi guys this is my first post.

I hope someone can help me. I am struggling to get my new Blu-Ray player to work with my network drive. I am using an IcyBox NAS903 and am wanting to stream my movies.

I have set the Blu-Ray player up and it see's the NAS fine, I am also able to connect to it fine but as soon as I have it says there is no files in the actual folder where the movies are.

I would use DLNA but this will only play avi files and I want to be able to play avi and mkv.

Please help

Search one of the existing Panasonic threads for file support or refer to your owner's manual for files supported. It will not support avi files. You will need to convert your files to another format

The Panasonic DMP-BD77 supports FAT32 and NTFS drives according to the manual.

I can connect to it via DLNA but it will only play .avi files which is not what I am wanting to achieve as I need it to play .mkv files.

When I try to connect to the NAS via Network Drive (not DLNA) it see's my Picture and Video folders but does not see any files within the folders. I have placed jpeg files in the Picture folder and numerous different formatted video files but nothing.

Any ideas are appreciated.

Look in the 110/210/310 thread for file support starting around October. File support is limited. I Take it you have a European model if it plays avi files. MKV is supported but it depends on the encoding inside. Depending on the structure of your files in NAS folder, they might only be accessible through the USB drive. Tons of info on streaming in that thread.

Good luck.

Thanks for the info, much appreciated.

Before I go and look in that thread I thought I would mention that I created a Pictures folder on the Network Drive and placed a few jpeg's in there and the Blu-Ray player didnt even see them either.

I have ended placing my .mkv files onto a USB HDD and will play them that way as I simply could not get the Network Drive to work.

I will play my normal DVD rips over the Network though.

Howdy. I just updated my bd75 to 1,33, went through with no issues, but now I cant play any blueray disks with any enjoyment. I can play dvds just fine, the bluerays get "incompatible disk', copy right enfringement, unable to read messages, or jumps around to random chapters. Regular dvd's play flawlessly. Im in rural Alaska, no form of web access except at work, no cable/dish. Hoping to find a fix before calling support, thinking of replacing. Ive had the player for 6 months now

My guess you are playing the 5.1 or 7.1 tracks but physically have no center channel. In that case you're better off setting the player to mix down to 2 channel stereo. Then you'll hear everything. You just won't get the rear channel effects of surround sound.

Hi all --

I'm looking for a 2nd player for the kids play area - I really only need three(3) functions from a player so I am looking for the least expensive one out there - This one look slike it may fit the bill but not sure about one feature -

1. Plays Blu-Rays and Dvd's
2. DLNA -- I have a Synology NAS that I want to stream video to this player
3. Can stream -- Netflix, Vudu, and Hulu PLus

Obvioulsy
1 is a YES -

2 looks like it can -

but not sure if this unit can stream form the three services listed.

Any info ?

Thanks --

2. DLNA on panasonic is extreeeemely limited. May as well not have it IMO.
3. The 75 doesn't have Hulu Plus.

Really nice player, but poor with regards to playing back certain file formats - MKV, MP4. When other machines such as LG will play anything you through at them.

If it could do those without problems it would be an exceptional blu-ray player.

I got a BD-75 on closeout at BestBuy. Don't have a wired network to hook it up to so I'm only playing blu disks. The problem is it is very noisy when playing the disks. There's a hi pitched whine and a bunch of whirring noise. The thing is darn near as loud as my Epson 3010 projector while I'm sitting 3' below it.

Anyone else having (audible) noise problems during bluray playback with their BD-75? It's past the BestBuy 30 return period and I'm wondring if I should send it in for repair. But if all players are noisy then there would be little point in doing so.

Cheers,
Charlie

I bought mine new about a year ago, and agree w/ you that it is a loud player. Mine makes the noises you describe. My wife even commented on how loud it was
reading disks...
I never looked into exchanging it because it's a bedroom unit that isn't used much, and I didn't want to mess w/ it. For a $75 player I kind of figured the replacement
wouldn't be any better.

Hello, someone can confirm if this unit send complete bitstream signal of DTS™-HD Master and Dolby® TrueHD over HDMI to a Denon AVR?. Thanks in advance.

I tried searching here and other places and can't find a specific answer. A friend has this player and would like wifi connectivity, so I checked if the DY-WL10 dong was compatible. At Panasonic's site it doesn't show this player in the list of compatible equipment, but at an Australian web store the player appears with the dong as the wifi accesory.

Well, it would be nice to know if someone already tried and didn't work. Or if an update is needed before trying the dong.

Does anyone have specific details of the limitations of external hard drives connected to the BD-75 (Euro model)? I'm using a 500Gb HDD formatted as NTFS and it has been working well. Now as the count of movies and the volume of data has crept up, the player has stopped recognising the drive. I've tried taking some files off the drive and that seems to have brought it back. Before I start experimenting, does anyone know if, e.g., it can't cope with more than 128Gb of data or 64 movies etc?

I don't want to go to FAT32 as a number of the movies exceed 4Gb in size, but I will if I have to.

IIRC, the limits are in the manual, something like 99 files or folders, I don't remember exactly.
