Albert, are you also running version 1.40? I appreciate the reply, but don't see how DNS would affect slow load times. I could definitely see if it wasn't working at all but once the hostname is resolved DNS shouldn't play a role, but I will give it a try for fun.

Wish I had seen this sooner. Sorry about that.
I am also running 1.40 yes.

Was simply an idea. I'm all about trying everything (no matter how strange it may seem) in the event something doesn't work right.

   Hi

I have a DMP-BM75 Panasonic BlueRay DVD Player.

           No Manual.

I would like to set it up to get NetFlix.

How do I go about doing that?

                                                             Thanks

                                                                 Bill

I have just purchased the player(but yet to receive it as its an online order)..I would like to know if the latest firmware I.e. is 1.59 & the previous one 1.56 are Cinavia free or not..? I have 2 others from sony (s490) & samsung (e5300) but both have Cinavia..
Also is there a possibility to downgrade the firmware in this model?

It looks like this player was licensed in 2011 (prior to the cinavia support requirement enacted by your friendly blu-ray organization), so odds are this player is free of cinavia.

The BD75 does not have Cinavia. Panasonic has not added it, nor are they under any obligation to.

^ be careful, man! Look at the Amazon reviews for the 77/87. They are horrible. The 75 is not so bad.

Hi guys im wondering if anybody can help.the only info I can seem to find on the firmware for the 75 is that it has to be v1.50 or older to be cinivia free.
Dos this still apply? ?.
What about v1.56 or the newest 1.59?

The BD75 was sold and manufactured prior to the Cinavia requirement.

DMP BD75 plays DVDs but not Blu-Ray

I bought this Panasonic machine in October of 2011 and it has done well playing DVDs and CDs. But recently I bought a Blu-Rayd disc for the first time and it would not play. When I put the disc in, I get this message: "This disc is incompatible."

I updated the firmware and it didn't help. I called Panasonic customer service and they said it must be a bad disc. I bought another of the same disc and it didn't work, either. A video-production guy friend of mine cleaned the lens for me and that didn't work. He also brought along a different Blu-Ray disc, and that did not work in my machine, either.

Then he tried playing my Blu-Rays in one of his players, and that worked!

So it seems at this point that the machine is defective in that it can't play Blu-Rays, and I would guess that it has always been defective, even though I can't know for sure because I didn't use it for Blu-Rays until just recently.

Can anyone think of anything I've overlooked before I go back to Best Buy and try to haggle with them? Thanks.

It surely seems like there is something very wrong with this player . . so back to BestBuy seems like the best suggestion.
