I received the update also I'm not having any issues with my 2 units. They've been so good, I ordered a 3rd one for our guest room.

Hi All,

Can one of you please let me know if you see "DishWorld" app in this player?  Samsung says its my device issue and they support it. Please let me know if you see it with the s/w version.

Thanks.

I did not see DishWorld in the app search.  Maybe in a future update.

Samsung BD-E5900 Problems with 3d & Upgrade Question BD-H5900

Hello all.
Recently I picked up a used BD-E5900. I've been using it successfully for streaming Netflix and connecting to my Plex server through the Plex app. As recently as last night, I finally tried to play some disc media on it. Blu-ray discs play flawlessly, but the unit will not play any of my 3D Blu-ray discs. It tries to load the disc for a couple minutes, and comes back with an error message saying the disc is not compatible. This has happened with several brand new 3D discs. I've not been successful at all in having any 3D discs play on it, and have tried 6 different movies now. I am however, able to successfully stream 3D content via my Plex library. What gives? Is the 3D portion of this unit defective? I've tried updating firmware, resetting the unit, clearing the BD Live etc... Any ideas?

Second to this... I have the opportunity to purchase a used BD-H5900 unit used for about the same price I paid for this E-5900. Not sure, but I'm assuming the H-5900 is a newer version - but I don't know what the differences are. I've read that there have been some issues with the "E" series releases, so I'm wondering if picking up this unit will solve my problems.

Thanks

You need to tell us how you have your 5900 run. Does it run through a receiver (which one), straight to TV, etc.

My E-5900 runs to a Onkyo TX-NR636 receiver, and then out to a BenQ W1070 projector. Using hi-speed HDMI connections between both.

Thanks
