How to solve issue of images, particularly faces, that appear blurry or overly smooth for a short time, then snap into focus? I've no idea of the cause of this problem nor where to start chasing down the solution. It occurs during DVD playback from my oppo bdp-93, through a DHC-80.3 which is connected to a Panasonic pt-ae7000u. I suspect some setting in one of these devices is in conflict somehow. Any ideas? Thanks!

Welcome to AVSForum.

Try your question in the BDP-93 thread: http://www.avsforum.com/t/1291855/official-oppo-bdp-93-owners-thread

As a diagnostic, do you see the same effect if you attach the player directly to the display?

What is the output resolution?

Do you have any of the Picture Adjustment settings off of zero, particularly Sharpness or Noise Reduction?

Is with all DVDs or only some?
