All of a sudden the display is no longer widescreen but in 4:3 The settings seem right , this only happens when playing a DVD but not on streaming content. Any ideas would be appreciated

What display and what player? This is the Blu-ray player forum.

This happens to all DVDs or just some?

Is the aspect ratio distorted? That is, stretched in one direction or another? Some DVDs, even widescreen titles, are actually 4:3.

Is the player somehow set to produce 480i/p for DVD? Many displays use a different mode for standard definition input.
