I don't have technical problem related to playing dvds or cds. But I do have a problem with how slow the operation is. It takes forever for the player to cue up to a point where I can even open the door. Why so slow?:

Probably one of those pick two choices: features, price, speed. I remember my first cheap dvd player (after owning an upper end one from being an early adopter) and thought WTF? Very slow to just about anything. The next player was just as slow. Then got a BD player and even with a relatively powerful one (a PS3) still not snappy and significant load times. The amount of information being processed is pretty great, though....

Thanks for the information. I seriously thought it had something to do with the way it was hooked up. It's nice to know that I'm not the only one turning it on and looking at the clock.biggrin.gif
