Every time I try to play a disc, it loads up, I can usually get to the first menu, sometimes it will even play a couple of seconds of movie, but within a minute or two I get the 'please wait' on the player display and it shuts off. I've tried resetting the settings. I've tried turning off all HDMI RIHD controls, but to no avail. It seems to stay on while I'm in the setup menu, but as soon as I play a disc it shuts down.

Its way out of warranty. The local repair shop charges $75 just to look at it, so I figure if its dead I'm looking at a new player.

Any thoughts?
