That would be why you cannot get Netflix anymore. As for the Russian updates, maybe you need to contact Sony regarding. That last official update was 6/12/12 from Sony. Here is the page to download the last official firmware http://www.sony.se/support/sv/product/BDP-S390/downloads/BDPS390_v0438 As for what happens after that, depends on which servers that it pulls from, when connected through your Internet provider in Sweden.
Ok.. when i checked the firmware version last night it said. M11.R.0438 .. it´s strange... i´ve almost got some "cold war" feeling...
I will give it a try today and make a CD with the correct firmware on. Yesterday i tried to downgrade the firmware but with no success.
Ok, i make a reply to myself.
The issue with the disappearing Netflix app and the 4 new russian channels are now a case with Sony. Netflix is informed but they mean Sony owns the problem.
Several people has reported same dissapearing issue... and it´s javapowered so...
I have been in contact with my ISP, Netflix and Sony tech support. ISP has the same service as before the trouble. Netflix says Sony owns the problem and Sony means my ISP has done something.... Now it´s very quiet...
So, i went and buy an Apple TV instead, the **** Sony BlueRay player is on the dump, crap!
Same issues for me also, but in my case I get apps from Germany and my Netflix was gone.
Doesn’t Sony want people from Sweden using there "smart" product or what is the problem for them, they can't put the issue on someone else because it's the issue and as far as I see it only effects there product.
All other devices work fine with Netflix like my Xbox 360 and my computers but not my Sony Blu-ray player and my new Sony TV 2013 model.
Fix this issue now Sony.
