do all blu ray players with an ethernet connection allow a connection to be made to my computer and the internet? can i open pictures that are on my computer and be seen via the blu ray player?

i see samsung has AllShare that i think does this, and i don't know if this is proprietary and unique.

thanks.

Many players do this but not all. Connecting to Internet for photos or other personal data stored in "the cloud" are fairly rare in my experience as are players with any sort of Internet browser. Any player that supports DLNA (and many do these days) will allow you to send material from your computer via the player to your TV. This includes photos but not all types of music or movie files. Specifics will vary somewhat from player to player. If you have questions about specific players or need advice on choosing one that will meet your needs, post your questions in the "Help Me Choose a Player" thread which you will see a link to at the top of this section.
