A little surprised that very little information can be found on this player.
Since I have a 2012 Samsung plasma and I was in want of a new player so I could watch 3D with my non-compliant receiver, I went ahead and purchased this unit because of the two HDMI out.
The unit works as you would expect no problems that I've been able to identify. To my eye it doesn't look any better or worse than my PS3. It did two firmware updates after initial setup, which took about an hour for the downloads. It comes on so much faster than my PS3, its ready to load a disk in just a few seconds.
The BD-Wise feature (if you can call it that) is a total joke. It sets the color too blue (sets the color tone to Standard). Using the Disney WOW and Warm2 gives much better overall picture. Someone who isn't a reader of this board might even find the color and other settings okay. But why in the world would you want to have the sharpness set to 50 as it does with the BD-Wise? It is one noisy picture with it set like that.
I really do like the Anynet+ and the way the player turns on when you select its input. It also allows for control with one less remote. If you select its input with the TV remote the TV remote now becomes the Blu-ray remote and all the needed control buttons now function as if you had the Blu-ray remote in-hand. Because of this I can now use my DirecTV remote to control everything.
It meets my needs of an enjoyable movie experiance with 7.1 sound.
Dual HDMI Output, No Sound if Video is Connected at the Receiver
I am hoping someone else has run into this problem. I picked up a Samsing F7500 blu ray player and ran one HDMI to my projector and the other to my receiver. My Onkyo 805 is HDMI 1.3 so 3D will not work, that is why I am setting this up this way. I set the player to output sound to HDMI 2. This works fine as long as I have the video output on my receiver turned off. As soon as it is turned on the sound stops.
Any ideas? Is it just this blu ray player so maybe a different one will work?

I have this player and the Onkyo 805 receiver. I ran the main HDMI to the TV. I ran the sub HDMI with audio only setting to the Onkyo. The Onkyo will not pass the 3D from the receiver to the TV.
I'm the owner of a new Samsung BD-F7500 Blu-ray player.
When i connect a external disc to the USB port in front the blu-ray gets a index of the files on this external disc. When i put al kinds of movie's on it, de player don't see this movies. I try'd mkv, DVD files in a VIDEO_TS -map ... and others. All other files on the disc are seen by the player (txt .. log maps ...)
I would like to connect a external disc to the BD-F7500 to play my movies.
I have just set up my Samsung BD F7500 with my projection screen and Marantz 5001R system. A couple of questions for a newbie:
1. When attempting to run one of the tv station apps (bravo or fxx maybe) it requires an update to adobe flash. I tried all the available download update options that the browser sent me to automatically but nothing would download. How do I update adobe flash so I can play things?
2. I have analog 7.1 setup. While playing Thor the audio sounds great. But, I just watched MazeRunner and the speaking track wouldn't come through. I had to change it from 7.1 analog to Multichannel on my receiver (even auto or dolby didn't work). Do I have a setting wrong somewhere?
Hey folks, just an FYI. If anyone has recently purchased a Samsung BD-F7500 from BB, they are now selling them for $199 as opposed to the regular $249. If you have one, you can get the difference refunded to you, as long as you are within your return period.

I noticed this and got my difference refunded to me also! It was more than enough to buy a 4 yr. protection plan because I tried 3 of these before I got one that worked fine and the reviews also state that several stopped working just a few months out. I needed this model because of the two HDMI out ports. I ran the video to the TV and the audio to my receiver.
Undoubtably this is more than likely related to your AVR settings but just to be sure you'll want to confirm that Audio >> Audio Downsampling Mode on the BD-F7500 is set to Surround Compatible and not Normal Stereo.
One other possibility you might want to check is that most AVR remotes provide a means to cycle through the various modes and maybe you have DTS-NEO selected rather than Dolby Digital.
I'm not sure why you have elected to run SPDIF Optical rather than using the 2nd HDMI out recommended to you in an earlier post. Having dual HDMI is one of the real beauties of this player, especially when faced with having an older AVR like yourself that doesn't support 3D.
I believe you may be confused regarding your reference to "higher speed HDMI" as this is more a requirement of UHD video which I understand you are sending directly to the TV.
I have reviewed the specs for your AVR and using the 2nd HDMI is definitely the superior way to go since your receiver supports Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio lossless sound via HDMI, rather than just sending it plain old Dolby Digital over SPDIF Optical.
Although you can't turn it off completely (unless the unit is turned off obviously) you can control it as follows.
Menu >> System >> General >> Front Display
The following settings are availabe:
Auto = Dim during playback and bright any other time.
Dim = Dim the display window at all times.
Bright = Brighten the display window at all times.
I keep mine set to Auto and I can't even tell it's on while a movie is playing. Since the On Screen Menu gives you all the info you are after you could always cover the front display with a piece of black electrical tape.
Samsung BD-F7500 chip is Silicon Image Sil9616, this chip also installs no less than Oppo BDP-103D, a DVD worth about 900 euros. It is no coincidence that this player is also available for 7.1 analog outputs, dual HDMI, LAN, etc.
Hi all, Yesterday, i substitute my bd e 5500 with new bd f 7500, I don't need 3d so, i connected blu ray and other sources via hdmi, and used 4306 monitor out to connect tv, the same way used when used old bd e5500.
The problem is that i lost hdmi signal after few seconds, (used hdmi for both audio and video), sometimes video/audio appear againg, then goes off again.
Some have some suggestion to solve the problem, some have tried same connection?
An alternative is to add a new hdmi and connect directly on tv, and taking audio from digital spdif or analog RCA, but i have to add a 15m hdmi cable... and i don't know if there is enaught space for new cable.

Hello, I'm considering this player but i have a question regarding the dual hdmi outs. I currently run my ps3 and htpc through my okyo sr308 then to my Sony hw40es projector.
Would i get better picture quality if i ran the f7500 straight to the Projector and the 2nd hdmi out to the Onkyo for sound??
I dont think my onkyo performs any video upconversion so i'm not sure if it does anything to the image before sending it to the projector

I'm looking into buying this player.
Can anyone confirm if the OSD can be turned off?
I don't want to see PLAY or PAUSE from the player on screen when I push those buttons.
I didn't see anywhere in the settings where this could be turned off, however, the play and pause is at the very top of the screen and transparent and only stays on a second after pressing the buttons. Even when pressing pause, it disappears in a second.
Just recieved this player last week.
It is simply the best BD player!!!
I had a samsung 5900 (went through 3 of them) and constantly had problems.
Load times are about 4x faster, fantastic picture and sound.
The overall layout , buttons etc are much better thought out.
It's near silent while playing (compaired to others)
BD wise and BD wise web seem to look great.
Tho I have found one bug, if left paused till the screen saver comes on, once you resume playing it turns off cinema smooth (still says on), would need to go and turn off them back on. Only seems to do this if screen saver comes on?
Awesome, I might get it too; even if I already have all the BR players I need. ...Just for the cool form factor. ...And I can replace my 6900 with it, which is missing too much (too old, only one HDMI, no useful bass management - worst ever, and it's time).
Does anyone have info on just what BDwise and BDwise web does?
I tried adjusting the BDwise to the same settings as I have for Movie mode and it doesn't look the same, so there must be something (hidden?) that also changes.
So far I seem to prefure the BDwise web setting for most BD play back
I am officially pulling my hair. I have a Sony xbr55850b. I have a marantz sr5008, and a Samsung bdf-7500. The bd player is fed to the receiver via hdmi and from the receiver to the TV via hdmi. When it is connected this way, in the Samsung menu, I can select if the player will output to UHD. I can also select 24 frame. With my issue of judder jitter whatever, I decided to bypass the receiver (in case there was something in there causing the issue) and go straight to the TV. So, HDMI from Samsung to the Sony. In the Samsung menu, I can no longer select output in UHD, nor can I select 24 frame. The options are there, but greyed out and I can't select or change them. If I connect the cables back to through the receiver, I get the option again. Thinking it might be some odd cable issue, I swapped cables, same thing. In either case, I plug into hdmi 1 on the TV. What am I missing? Shouldn't going straight to the TV still give me the same results?
I'm assuming your TV is UHD capable?
Also not sure if using HDMI 1 on your TV would make any difference or not, did you try one of the other inputs?
Going straight from the BD7500 to the TV should be giving you all the options
(also you may know this but, HDMI 2 output on the BD7500 is just audio)
It is a 4k TV and I tried the other hdmi ports with the same results. Sony is going to be sending me a replacement TV as I seem to get judder with everything I throw at it, but if there is something I am overlooking, I'd like to avoid the hassle.
