Ok so my knowledge of this kinda stuff is limited so I figured maybe someone here might be able to help. Basically I recently purchased the Panasonic DMP-BDT220 Blu-Ray player and is worked like a charm except for one thing, I can't access any BD Live features on any Blu-Rays, well almost never.
Now first off its using a wireless internet connection and all the IP and DNS etc are set to automatic. But that doesn't seem to be the problem because Netfilx works just fine (bit slow relative to the PS3 but I expected that). In addition I have an 8GB SD card that I've put in the machine.
So when I boot up a Blu-Ray I'm told almost immediately that a connection has been established. So far so good. But then once I get to the title menu and select the BD Live feature, it tells me I need a profile 2.0 player with an internet connection. Seeing as I tick both those boxes I can't figure out whats wrong.
In addition, once in a blue moon, it does work. After trying about 10 times with T2 Skynet Edition, the Blu-Ray eventually detected a connection and I could access the online content. I've tried a few other disks though and none of them ever work. All are legit copies and the regions of the discs and player match.
Its hardly a big deal but it is annoying, particularly since I'm pretty sure the load times are increased while the disc tries to source a connection. i know I could just turn the BD Live access off but I'd prefer to figure out what the feck is going on. Any input would be greatly appreciated because, like I say, I'm kinda out of my depth.
