Hi all! I'm new to this Blu-ray techno and i'm having a bit of an issue. I recently bought a Pioneer BDP-440 and for the time being just wanted to connect it to the TV in the bedroom. Now here lies the issue. When i connect the player to the TV with a HDMI lead all is great as far as audio goes until the movies actually start. Then i get all the sound from the movies through my TV's speaker, except the main dialogue which is barely audible.
What am i doing wrong here? Or is it something so obvious i can't see it? Could it be my TV won't convert 5.1 sound off a blu-ray disc to the stereo of the TV? There was never an issue with playing 5.1 soundtracked dvds through this TV on a standard dvd player.
Any help would be great recieved smile.gif

Maybe try changing audio output to stereo or digital out to pcm in hdmi settings sounds like your tv is playing 5.1 and you are not hearing the center channel dialogue.
