I am in the market for a new Blu-ray Player, but my main concern is to be able to play as many different formats off the internet without having to Transcode.

Could anyone here tell me which brand generally plays the widest variety of file types currently?

Thank you for your guidance.

Top ones are probably Samsung, LG and Oppo.

For OPPO here are some lists:

If your main interest is in media files, you should also look at the media server products; that's the business they're in: http://www.avsforum.com/f/39/networking-media-servers-amp-content-streamers
