They say nothing about what the mods are, if they are looking at the analog outputs or the digital. If they are modding the analog, then a few simple op-amp or cap replacements may provide the audible benefits they allude to provided the rest of your system can take advantage. If they claim mods to the digital portion, I would be more than skeptical. The problem with the oppo's is that they are already very good. Ask what you are trying to achieve. Is it as good as my old modified Rotel for CD's? No. Could I ask for more in a BD player? Nope. Love mine. I use it only for DVDs, so I use the HTMI out.
As this company does full range drivers, I would be more than skeptical. "that really work" Yea, a full range driver makes sound so they really do work, just not well. There is no such thing as a full range driver made to date. None. There are some very basic laws of physics on why not. The best "wide range single driver" solutions employ some network components to deal with BSC and other eq issues. Sure, it is not a crossover, as it is a single driver. Hint: VERY misleading verbiage. I would want to hear a lot more information other than some fuzzy statements about greatness. Reading their WEB page, all I see is snake oil. That does not mean they don't do great things, it means they have nothing on their WEB that would suggest to me they do.
