Hello,

I have just bought a Panasonic DMP-BDT360. I tried the hack for BDT-220 with the OneForAll remote, but it doesn't work !

Is anybody have a solution to hack the DVD zone to all region ?

I don't believe the remote hack works any longer. I believe the X20 line was the last line of players it did work.

The BD500 is in the same line as the X20 series. It was not replaced with a newer model last year.

If I have no need for 4K upscaling (or 3D, really), would I be better off just going with the BD91? My BD85K is on its last legs.

Just received the DMP-BDT360. Can't seem to get the OPTION button to do anything. Is this supposed to work for the DMP-BDT360? Want to try the 2D to 3D.

Any idea of when the BDT460 will be released in the USA?  And what is different from the 360?  Trying to decide whether to hold out for the 460.  Just bought me a Panasonic TC-P65VT60 .   Waddya think?

WTF is up with the advertising on this unit? Whenever I start the unit, I get a banner at the bottom of the screen with a "Sponsored Ad"

Plus, on the web services screen, one of the slots is for a "Sponsored Ad"

Since when do commercial BD players come with advertising built in? Very frustrating.

Oh, and no Amazon video support?

Guess my BD85 will survive for a little while longer.

Im starting to wonder if we get a 460 and 700...

As far as advertising, is it like the plasmas where you can cut that part off. If not, you get an ad banner every time you cut it on.

The unit does not stream from Amazon. Hard to understand. Guess Netflix paying for the button on the remote also included no longer supporting Amazon streaming.

Thats pretty much me. I like this 6200 so far, so I just want to try out the Panny that still has a Uniphier in it.

Not to hijack this thread, but I'm looking at the 700 for the HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2. I have a strong feeling it will be the first BD player to support 4K through NF, etc. I did see the 360 at BB yesterday when I picked up my new Galaxy S5.

I was thinking the same. The tip to me, if true, was the all new Uniphier. We all know this is PHL's flagship chip instead of the cookie cutter mediatek. Hopefully its not Euro only or myth.

I now have two Panasonic blu ray players in my home theater and have set each to a different remote code. Everything works fine, but whenever I use unit A, the display on unit B shows "Set Code 2" and vice versa, except unit A shows Set Code 1. I understand the purpose of the display message, but would like to know if there is any way to turn that feature off aside from turning the displays off completely. The two units are a DMP-BD85 and a DMP-BDT360PS (keeping the 85 around for Amazon streaming since the 360 oddly does not do Amazon, probably so Amazon can sell you their own box or because Netflix paid Panasonic off).

Thanks!

EDIT: Not sure why the mods moved this into the 360 thread from a standalone thread since this question is applicable to pretty much the entire Panasonic line of BD players so I figured it was worthy of its own thread to get a broader audience, but hopefully someone here has an answer.

There isn't. On some panasonics you can dim the display a level or two to make it less noticeable.

If you have a universal RF remote with IR blasters, you can use those to isolate each signal so neither player ever sees the other's commands.

Does anyone know for sure if the new 360 has the Uniphier chip? I am interested i possibly getting this player but I want to make sure it has that Uniphier chip before I make a decision.

I think only the 700 does, others are most likely mediatek.

That's my belief, also. Uniphier was only mentioned in the 700 in any of the press releases.

How the mighty has fallen....didn't all Panny players at some point in the past used to have that chip?

Did last year's 330 has that chip?

The cheaper models had the mediatek, the BDT500 from 2012 was the only "2013" model with a Uniphier. I imagine they are doing it to save money. The MT if used properly works fine, I mean Sony has been using their own version forever and Oppo uses it. Panasonics problem last year is it was with the first year with MT and they had some bugs.
