UHD Upscaling/uprez MKV files with Samsung BD-H6500/ZA

Uprez MKV files with Samsung BD-H6500/ZA
Still setting up my home theater but starting to convert a bunch of DVD/BD discs to my PLEX movie library. Blu-Ray is working well, but DVD converted using MakeMKV does not allow my Samsung BD-H6500 to uprez using built-in PLEX app to my DLP Projector. DVD's themselves uprez pretty well using this player to the DLP, but once they've been converted to MKV files, the player just sends them to the DLP without uprezing them.

Anyone here have a good method to either force the Samsung BD-H6500 to uprez all files, or is there another good method (not to much effort) to do this -- Software or hardware?

Thanks.
