Sony BDPs suddenly stopped streaming?

Am over at SWMBO's place and she has two Sony BDPs and a Roku. Just this afternoon both Sony BDPs have become unable to connect to any streaming services (Netflix, Hulu, etc.) but the Roku is still working fine. These are newer Sony BDPs with HDMI only outputs, not the older ones with analog outs (we have some of those as well but I have not tested those yet, just frustrated because she wanted to watch a movie and apparently can't without moving the Roku around to wherever she wants to watch it.)

Anyone know what's up? Network is good as evidenced by the fact that I'm able to post this message.

Sony BDPs must call home (Sony) to obtain streaming authorization. From time to time, some ISPs changed some network parameters which causes Sony server to mis-identify your geolocation, e.g. it may think you're outside Of US, and turn off the streaming service. It happened a lot in the past for ppl that are on smaller ISPs.

You might also check for a firmware update for the Sonys to re-authorize streaming.

Am on Verizon FiOS, and no firmware updates available.

It's got to be a Sony problem because the Roku still works, and Pandora works on the downstairs BDP (S5200) I thought the more recent ones didn't go through Sony servers anymore though?

They still do. You need authorization every 24 to 48 hrs IIRC.
