There is a new firmware upgrade listed at the Samsung site with a date of 12/17, but it still has a version 1.0 attached to it. Is this new?

Someone in the Samsung ownership thread said it's the same as the one released in October.

AI am sorry if I am repeating this, but, once the update has completed, is there a way to go back and just check the FW version. Is it buried in a submenu somewhere or can I get it by pressing a combination of buttons?

I believe you hold down the info button on the remote and it will display the appropriate information. I think you have to hold the button for at least 3-5 seconds if my memory serves me right. If that does not work, check the manual.
