I just purchased a 60GB PS3 and set it up to watch Bluray movies. I rented Fire Wall and Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow from Net Flix. When I loaded Fire Wall I wasn't given a menu to choose the DTS track (if there is one). And neither title had any output to my subs' amp. I am using optical output and I know it is only the PS3 that is having this problem. Did I miss something in the set-up process?

I don't know if this is a hardware issue or are the audio tracks missing from the discs? I just got Crash from Net Flix and will try that title next. Any advice from other PS3 users?

You know, a guy could get into this HT thing and drop a couple of bucks!

Sounds like you do not have the settings in your ps3 menu for audio set to bitstream.

Try Dolby instead of DTS.

I set the audio selections to Dolby and DTS. I didn't see a selection for bitstream. Am I missing something?

Found it! There are two places to set the audio settings. In the settings section and then you need to set it in the BD section. Sony could have included better instructions with this system.

There is the online manual which is more in depth than the paper manual and which can be found in the XMB under Network.
