Does anyone know if there is any way to have a PS3 output both digital audio and analog at the same time? This seems like a very basic idea (every disc player I have ever owned could do this without a problem). My PS3 is plugged into a matrix switcher to feed both my Theater system and Master Bedroom TV. Analog audio feeds the bedroom TV, and digital toslink audio feeds a Denon receiver for theater. Currently I have to go into the PS3 audio settings and change the format anytime I want to switch rooms for my PS3 (use only for gaming - there is a Sony BDP-S300 for BD movies).

I have 8 sources (HR20x2, TiVo S3, Kaleidescape, XBOX360, BDP-S300, XD-XA2, PS3) - all other sources work perfectly in this environment (digital audio to theater, analog audio to bedroom). I can't understand why the PS3 shuts off analog outputs when Toslink audio is activated.

Unfortunately, I do not believe you can output both at the same time as of right now. However it may come in a future firmware update.
