(I too will be greatly surprised if the new Oppo will out perform a Realta)

My 6 month battle to get a 9.8 ended in failure.
A member that I don't know, PMed me with a tip on a 885 from an official Onkyo Pro dealer.
I jumped.
It shipped last Wed. and should be here tomorrow.

Although I would have preferred a 9.8, the 885 will have to do.
I just couldn't handle the stress anymore.

I'm very happy w/ my 885 too! (I personally prefer the all black (stealth) "look" of the 885 over the 9.8).

I have the 9.8 and it looks much better in person, not saying i mind the look of it. The 885 is also a nice looking peice.

I get the error code DENON1 in the player's display every time I press a button on the remote control
Nothing else happens
I tried disconnecting it from the mains to do a reset but that didn't work
In the user manual there is something about changing remote control codes, DENON1 and DENON2
But... nothing happens when I press buttons on the remote, and I can't get into the menu system
What do I do now?

Edit: I found a more recent thread, please disregard this
