I have JVC 720p and planning to by a blu-ray player, probably gonna go with PS3 because of web browser and media functionality, so my question is will PS3 display blu-ray movies good on 720p TV?

You can either have the PS3 output 720p to the JVC or you can have the PS3 output 1080i and let the TV do the conversion. I have a 1st generation JVC D-ILA and it looks great.

Blu Ray or HD DVd would look great on your TV

i have a LG 37 inch that is 720 and not 1080. i have a panasonic upscaling dvd player with HDMI running and i get a great picture.

i'm thinking of getting a blueray player and wondered if i'd notice a difference and if it would be worth the purchase.

Two of my kids have 37inch 720P Vizio LCD's with PS3's connected, and I have a 26inch 720 Sony Bravia with a PS3. The difference between Blu-ray and any other video source is completely visible and totally compelling on these machines.

I also have 2 480i/p machines that I am feeding Blu-ray. The difference is noticeable but not compelling. I do this in order to be able to only buy Blu-ray disks.
