holy crap you're obviously a millionaire. I've always wanted an indoor bball court.

Did you contract rhino courts?

Can you PM me the cost of that?

Thanks,
ELmO

I did not take to many pictures of the movie theater mostly due to lighting and my crappy cell phone pics.
The plasma is mostly just used to view some of the cameras to see if anyone is at the door and such.

Well that's cheap, but the problem is the digging for that room right?

How can you get ceilings that high? Is it above ground?

If underground it has to be dug and I guess that is a TON of mula?

My dream is to have an indoor bball hoop like that!

I wouldn't flinch at under 10K. But the excavation of a room like that is enormously expensive I believe.

A big dream in your life for under 10K is nothing! Think of the dumb cars we all drive that are (sometimes) a lot more expensive.

The basketball court is under the garage and costed about 50k.
its about 22 ft high. i had a couple issues with the lighting fixtures in there but now its all good.
i added heat and air conditioning, a tv, and music as i have become bored if i dont have at least 2 things going on at all times .

Very nice setup indeed. So you'll have a theater bar + a regular bar that's still in the process of being built
The flooring in the future bar area looks great... is it ceramic tile?

Thanks!
yep, its nice getting snacks and drinks ,so close to the theater.I had thought of making a homework area for the kids but then decided on a theater bar area.
no one is ever there long enough so i never bought bar stools.
I have been struggling at the design of the bar in progess.
the floor tile is slate natural stone in 2 different shapes. some are rectangle and some are square.

What's the overall sq ft minus the bbball court? And what size is your court?
I think if you had a couple of bar stools in that area folks would hang around there a little longer.
Keep the pics coming, especially as the bar is being built...

Very cool set-up but I'd like to see more pics of the golf simulator. I had wanted to put one in my basement but lacked any workable ceiling height. When I saw one in an Entourage episode (where they actually shot the ball into the screen) and then tried one out in person I thought it was the coolest thing.

Nope, the bar is nothing but a pipe dream right now.
Too many other distractions right now.

You're going to get a lot of "sweet, dude" comments, so I am going to go out on a limb and offer up some criticism! Feel free to reciprocate.

As great as everything looks, it felt a bit "bare" to me. Almost like it was missing some furniture, or something to soften up the space. You have some great wide, open spaces with hard edges (e.g., the squarish sofa, the angular coffee table). Either you entertain a lot of people at a time and need the space for mingling, or you are slowly working towards furnishing the space more thoroughly?

This might sound odd, but it feels utilitarian. But I'm finding it hard to even be critical of that. For example, you've got that room with the pool table/ping pong cover and foosball table. There's the mounted jerseys (nice Favre from the Pro Bowl, BTW). But I'm still looking for the unique character that's almost there. However, maybe it's that way on purpose so that there's room to move around the table for that bank shot, or to get the foosball table out for a 2-on-2 marathon. See my dilemma?

That being said, there's really not much to complain about. I mean, come on, you've got a basketball court down there, and even a golf simulator. And video and pinball games. It would be hard not to revert to being a 12 year-old kid again down there.

So I finish my rather weak rambling with this: Sweet, dude.
