thanks! the kegerators are actually freestanding units that I modified to build in. I am very pleased with the built in look!

The bar top will have the chicago bar rail (cove rail) and I plan to inlay tiger eye maple for the main bar top. The CO2 tanks and lines were moved into the far left cabinet in bar and will also have an ice bin built into the bar countertop.

FUN!

Anyone have good sources for exotic wood? I want tiger eye maple, but all im finding are narrow planks. I would like to do the bar top in 2 pieces so I would need 10 feet by 2 feet and 4 feet by 2 feet. Any ideas?

Don't know where you are, but there's a place near me called, "Exotic Woods", where I get all my hardwood for projects. Burlington, Ontario, Canada...

By the way, I'm glad to see your bathroom so close to the main area since you have 2 kegerators!!! I like the ledge-rock stone veneer on the bar, too. We just did a fireplace surround in the stuff, and are now wondering if we should find more places to use it!

Cheers,
B

Unfortunately I am in Pennsylvania... shipping from Canada would be a bit much.

Thanks for the compliments, I am really happy with the stone and have a good bit leftover for other projects.

Looks Nice! Love the bar set up. I plan on doing a similar build here soon. Did you save any room for basement storage? I'm struggling with the wife on how much room I'm allowed to sacrifice for storage.

I also noticed you're electrical panel was hidden behind the corner wall that you built. How do you plan on accessing that when needed?

This was a DIY... I have done everything myself, with the exception of having carpet installed tomorrow.

The stone work wasn't easy for my first attempt at it. Getting the mortar at the right consistency was tough... I had one stone come loose.

It was an option with the host I used. It gave the source code to link them all at once.

The electrical panel will have a picture hung on hinges to access the panel... There is enough arm room if I have to reach up to where the trunk line and cable lines come in.

thanks!

Carpet installed, laminate floors finished. Drywall finished and trimmed. Flat screen for the bar area, just waiting for the wall mount to be delivered.

What is your plan for the ceiling?

The ceiling over the bar area is already complete. I used the ceiling link system from ceilinglink.com . I used the 2x2 tiles.

Great Job, love the ledge stone. We use it on our fireplace. The idea for the bartop sounds good, expensive I would bet but sounds good. I was lucky enough to have an ash tree fall my way so I used it to make my bartop and rail. Keep the photos coming.

I like this place!!!

Still planning to do it. I haven't even found a single option yet. I need something that I can remove easily that doesn't have a drain. I would be happy with a black plastic bin that is styrofoam insultated.

This is going on the far left side of the bar and will be above the CO2 tanks in the cabinet below.

Probably 18x18 and maybe 6-8 inches deep.

Anyone have ideas?

More pictures of the progress.

Got the bar stools and also picked up the bar top and rail. I ended up with curly maple for both. I LOVE the character in the wood, should look awesome when its done.

The mill had 12 ft sections of both, so NOOOO seams!!!

You can see I needed a bed extender for the truck to get them home!

Thanks for all the compliments, this is a fun project.
