Okay, I have a 32 inch direct view tv right now and I have about 5k to spend on a new tv set up. My question is what do you reccomend based on my viewing habits?
65% Dish Network (almost half that is hockey)
25% DVD
10% Sony Playstation

I was watching hockey last night on an RCA RPTV and the picture on it was unacceptable. The ice was white at one part of the screen and got darker to grey at the top. Not sure if it was a bad example or what.

What I want is something that give me as goo of a picture for normal satellite viewing but better performance on DVDs and I'm going to be puting in a room that is large so I'd like to go a little bigger than my 32"

Buy an HDTV ready set. There is not much Hockey being shown now except MSG to some lucky NY cable recipients.
I have never seen a game in HDTV, but from what I understand, it is the future of hockey broadcasting.
