Hi,

Seeking advice, I just bought my first 5 channel amp an Earthquake Cinenova Grande and was wondering if anyone can advise me on proper break-in if any?

Thanks,
Roger Kaufmann

Hook it up and enjoy it! No special break in required.
You may find the sound of your new amp improves as the amp breaks in. There is no real scientific basis for this (I'm an Electrical Engineer), but I have observed it on several new pieces I have purchased over the years.

Enjoy!

I believe Earthquake runs the Cinenova several hours before shipping. Mine never had that "New" burn in smell when it was first turned on. I ran it about 4 hours a day for the first couple of weeks, and the bass seemed to get a little crisper, or less distorted.

I am still on the fence with amps and wires on break-in. What I heard could be speaker placement, temperature or humidity. I would be interested to hear if you notice a difference after break-in. Enjoy your new toy.
