I want tog et seperates instead of just receiver like the denon avr-5800 and the such though they are awesome. I am not too sure exactly what to get with this route though. For speakers im looking tog et the Dyaudio contour series (if this helps). I need something that is able to power these. Thanks for the help.

The only thing that has DTS es is the 5800 currently. You could get an upgradeable preamp for now (check with the company about it's upgradeabily to ES) such as the B&K reference 30 or better the Theta Cassablanca or a Meridian 568.

Thanks Justin I meant the 5800 is the only thing that has DTS ES discrete which I assumed was what the poster was talking about.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the Denon 3801 also have DTS ES Discrete? Costs much less than the 5800 (although if you're going with seperates price is obviously not an issue).

Good..... Bad..... I'm the guy with the gun.

Just think for yourself what the advantage of DTS 6.1 ES Discrete over DTS 6.1 ES Matrix is and make a decision, especially thinking that Lexicon has a superior real 7.1 (Logic 7) system. Plus the fact that Lexicon is upgradeable (no promises, but a real history in excellent upgrades).

If I was you it's a no-brainer...
