I was able to get things cleaned up a little further this weekend, including hanging the posters up on the wall. I think I'm going to eventually add larger posters or at least some thicker frames to better fit the space, but they'll do for now. I'm realizing as I'm posting this that I didn't take a shot of the cover for the rear of the projector, so I'll try to remember that.

And here's where we're at as of tonight:

Next up...bass shakers!

Jason, the room is looking awesome! I need more pics...I just want to take in the whole room...front, sides, l/r, rear...all of it! I really like the back row/counter setup.

Are you planning on putting anything in the middle section of the end cap to your Counter on the back row? I am talking about in the middle of the frame you put on the side...looks like its ready for something....(speaker cloth?, rope light behind the frame?)

I'll get some more pics up shortly. I still have plans for a bar in one corner, a fireplace in the back, a MAME machine next to the rack, and possibly some kind of gaming table in the main space. I also want some new thicker curtains for the doors and sides of the windows.

The trim on the bar is just decorative, so nope - no plans to do anything with it.

Awesome is right. I think the posters look great too!

+1 for more pics.

Clearly, I'm a man of action - just give me a few minutes to think about it.

I bet your right about your airplay problem being because of your multiple routers in the mix. If you change your wireless router to just be an access point and let your "main" router handle all of the DHCP duties then you should be fine. Airplay doesn't play nice with multiple NATs.

Yea. That's what I'm thinking. I've been on vacation the past couple of days but plan to take a closer look at it towards the end of this week / weekend. Hopefully it's something simple.

Thanks for the positive feedback! I still haven't gotten around to working on the bass shakers yet. Been super busy getting the new business up and running officially. Exciting times, but extremely busy.

How's everything running over at Theater v3?

Thanks for the message. Things are working well. Sorry I haven't posted in here in awhile. Been busy getting the business up and running. The good news is that I'm planning on using the theater space as a showroom for potential clients. That being said, the first thing I wanted to do was get the cords off of the floor from the seats. I decided to pull the trigger and go with 4 battery packs from Palliser. They were a bit expensive, but I love that the cables are gone.

In addition to putting the bass shakers in (still not done), I'm planning on adding a few chameleon acousticals frames to the room. I had them in my last theater and loved them. We're also in the process of getting bids for a bar to help finish off the space even more. I put together a rough floor plan and one elevation for the bar. I'm still in the process of drawing up the other sides. If I don't get around to it soon, I'm guessing the cabinet maker will have something for me. Still waiting to hear back there.

Anyways, here are the bar sketches. As always, looking forward to the feedback.

Wanted to follow-up on this one. That was EXACTLY what the problem was. Once I disabled DHCP on my wireless router, everything worked like a charm. One nice feature about the Pioneer - You can wake it up over Airplay to have it start playing music.

Your bar area looks great, do you remember where you got your bar stools at?

It's been awhile, so it's time for an update. I decided recently to start upgrading some of my equipment to better reflect the product lines I carry. It's much easier that way to demo things when I have clients over for consults.

First up was a projector upgrade. Yesterday I picked up a JVC RS4910U to replace the aging Panasonic AE3000. That being said, if anyone is looking for a used Panny, let me know

I'll have some photos up once I get it in place. I may have to modify the soffit some to handle the larger chasis of the JVC.

Good choice. I love my JVC.

Did you get your bar area finished?

No. Unfortunately things have gone slow on that avenue until the company is running a little longer. The good thing about that is that I've been able to keep tweaking the bar plan. I also have a pretty deep network of contractors I can now turn to when the time comes to put it into place.

As far as other upgrades - I'll probably end up swapping out my Pioneer receiver for a Marantz. Martin Logans are the big speaker line I carry, so I'm thinking of possibly moving to those for my front channels, as well as a pair of their Dynamo 1000 subs.

ML speakers would be nice. Are you planning on ripping out those nice columns then?

Nope. I designed the columns to handle pretty much any tower speaker up to 7 feet tall Both the top and bottom panels pop off and it's hollow inside. It's just a matter of putting in the new speaker and snapping the AT grills back into place.
