I have a 13 x 13 room in my basement that was originally set up as a family room. I've been planning out this build since we moved into the house a year ago and just started the demo work to redo the ceiling, walls, and floor. There was also a ugly built in tv cabinet that I ripped out.
Here are my plans for the building stage:
-use insulation between floor joists for ceiling deadening and in between the wall studs
-laminate wood flooring
-run all necessary wires and terminate on wall plates
-drywall with texture + paint
Today i ripped the old carpet out and the room has a decent amount of echo. Is going with laminate wood flooring going to be a problem for echo?
