I made the mistake of purchasing a Sony HTIB which does not have optical audio in, so all of my sources going through are 2 channel.

I am sick of this and I am trying to find a decent receiver for a good price that will work with my HTIB speakers until I can afford to upgrade.

Would any of you have a suggestion for a decent receiver around $200. I am a frequent craigslister, so I can take suggestions for that route as well.

Thank you very much

What sources are you connecting to the receiver, and what connections (HDMI/Component/Composite) do they use? At that price point, you want to make sure you're not wasting money on features you don't need.

Also, what is the model number of the Sony HTIB? Knowing the speaker and sub specs will help.
