Living Room.jpg 2512k .jpg file

Attached is a picture of my living room. I just closed last week and am still moving in, but here is what I need help with. My basement is finished and I have a friend living with me temporarily, a year max. Once he is gone, it will be my theatre/game room. In the meantime, I'd like to set something up in my living room. I've got some older Boston Acoustics towers as well as surrounds, but they are big and kind of kill the aesthetics of the room. I'm thinking of mounting two speakers on either side of the 'niche', a center channel below the TV, and wire a sub at some point. I probably won't do a full surround as there is a stairway and loft behind the living room.

Either way, I'm looking for some mountable speakers that aren't distracting and will produce a decent sound. I have a Denon AVR-1912, Comcast DVR receiver, Jailbroken ATV 2 and an LG Bluray.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
