Hello,
I'm going to buy the parts for my first home theater system (non-dedicated room). I thought I'd run it past the experts since I'm a newbie. I'd hate to make a dumb choice because buying a home theater isn't pocket change for me:p

Here's what I'm thinking about getting:
Display: Panasonic VT50 55-inch http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00752VKTG/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_1?ie=UTF8&smid=A1WZB4FLR6WTPV
You gotta go all out on the most important part, right?

Receiver: Onkyo TX-NR616 7.2-channel http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0077V88W2/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_1?ie=UTF8&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Speakers: ProCinema 800 System http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001JQZXCO/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_1?ie=UTF8&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER
I may buy 2 more PC800 satellites later, would that be a good improvement at $145 each?

Blu-ray Player: Panasonic DMP-BDT220 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00752R4PK/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_5?ie=UTF8&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

I'll be setting up in an open living room, not too big. I won't be listening at crazy loud volumes, I just like a comfortable listening level for whatever I'm doing. Priority use for the system will be Blu-ray discs > video games > HD channels. So, any obvious oversights or will these components play nice together?

I don't know if any of these will be Black Friday/Cyber Monday specials, I've never been much of a BF shopper. If you know one will be, or know a special that would make a good replacement, I'm all ears.

I'd have some concerns about the AVR, given the reviews; just make sure you hook it up ASAP, to be sure it works well with your TV. I'd say this is your most important purchase, and the display a close 2nd.

Thanks Neurorad. I think that problem has been resolved now the the receiver has been out a while, but it doesn't hurt to make sure.
