I am new to home audio and not sure what goes together properly. Recently had a house fire and insurance is replacing an old panasonic bookshelf system, but i am replacing with a 5.1 surround setup for my parents. I do have a budge and the maximum is around $640 including all cables needed. I have been looking and pieced together a simple budget system but wanted to know what everyone thought before i pull the trigger. Want to get the best possible system for the price paid. Here is what i put together, all on newegg btw.
Speaker cable is 100ft of 16Guage BYTECC model SPW-162 and sub cable is a belkin pure av model AV20500 25ft. Along with a Kaybles model DHDMI-6BK the total is around $646 including shipping. All going into an open living room that is roughly around 450 sq.ft. maybe less. Im not even sure the energy take speakers match up with the denon receiver but I don't know jack about home audio impedence or how efficient home audio speakers can be. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
