Finally got the 2nd half of my 3D Redskins logo and MD State Crab that I have been waiting for. I couldn't be happier with the way they turned out. The attention to detail and the layers of wood are just phenomenal. These dark mobile phone pics hardly do them any justice but its the best I got for now. Now if I could just get the Skins to win some football games.

You don't typically see someone happy that they got crabs!!!!

However, that looks sweet! The level of detail and skill in the logos is great. Plus, you'll likely not see anyone else with something similar. That really keeps your space upscale but bringing in the sports theme. Nice job Toby!

Those are indeed some good looking Skins logos. Very nice. I know it is always rude to ask about price, but since we are all friends here what did that set you back? I would like to do something similar, but with a team that actually wins (Colts)! Oh snap! Sorry, I just couldn't resist.

RT,

PM sent my friend! Hey, no worries about the Skins not-ever-winning dig...I'm used to it by now. Hell, the last time they won a Superbowl, I was a senior in high school! And I'm 41 for God's sakes!!!

We just need to get rid of RGIII before we can get back on the track to winning...LOL.

Count your blessings. You could be a Vikings fan. 0 for 4.

On the bright side, it tends to keep expectations low, and at least they often live up to those expectations.

The Colts actually bounced back and forth (according to the media) between RGIII and Luck. Glad it turned out the way it did.

I dig the skins logos! They are cool. I'm from Chicago but luckily I am not a bears fan or I'd understand your pain. I'm actually a GB fan so as far as quarter backs go Iv'e had it good. Although we had a tough loss last year to the seahawks! Ahh well what can you do?

Got an email from Roman last week and he's added a few new things to his Fusion line...one of which is a Universal Console (4002) that can be used for any of his lines of seating. I am seriously considering adding this in between my two middle chairs (love seat). The only reason I am skeptical right now is that the width of my whole configuration is EXACTLY the same width as my snack ledge. So if I were to go with it, the two end chairs would be sticking out 6.5" on each end (console is 13"W). This weekend I am going to pull out both end chairs out that far and see how it looks.

I really like the look of this thing and the drawer at the bottom would be a perfect place to put my remotes. If I can get past the look of my chairs sticking out that far, I am going to order this puppy in Expresso.

Check it out:

It comes in all colors, bonded and vinyl/leather match.

Features:

-Available in latest generation all bonded leather and leather/vinyl combination
-Available in BLACK and EXPRESSO BROWN colors
-Contemporary design
-Reversible armrest with built-in aluminum tray
-Two generously sized cup holders with easily removable for cleaning stainless steel cup holder inserts
-Front drawer with storage space
-Power station with 2 USB ports and 2 power Outlets
-2 Detachable Flexible lights
-Additional storage under the armrest

Specs: 32.75" D x 13" W x 26" H

That leather style/color definitely does look old-school...from the 70's or 80's. I wonder how many people have ordered that color...

Reelwood's 3D demo disc

For those of you following this thread that have 3D projectors and/or TVs, STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND PAY ATTENTION!

Yesterday I watched Reelwood's 3D demo disc (forum member: pjvader) and it is absolutely AWESOME!!!! I am not too handy with torrent downloads (nor do I want to be) but I was fortunate enough to have another forum member burn me a copy after sending him a disc.

The disc contains 52 phenomenal 3D scenes from a wide spectrum of movie (and musical) performances. This thing is a MUST HAVE for anyone who owns a 3D projector...I'm telling you. So, if you are familiar with the torrent download world (I am not), have at it:

Realwood's 3D Demo Thread

Hint: You will need a 50GB REWRITABLE blu-ray disc like this one to be able to fit the whole demo.

If you are looking to WOW your guests, look no further. What an awesome ride...

EDIT: I have it loaded in my torrent application but dosn't look like anyone is seeding it atm. I posted in the thread so hopefully someone starts to seed it soon! Large file!

Just found this thread and read over every post! I am also a MDer (uncle lives in Annapolis, I just moved out of Bethesda up to Burtonsville) and I'm getting a ton of ideas for my HT build. In fact, I just started a Google Doc for costs and equipment, a lot of which were inspired by this thread. Thx so much for all the detail!

Good to hear. The 1st reason I started a thread for my build was to get others involved and to get the RIGHT advice along the way. The 2nd reason I started the thread was to help others spawn ideas further down the road in their builds. If it weren't for AVS, my room wouldn't even be close to what it is today. So thankful for everyone that helped me along the way.

What is your Uncle's name? I might just know him!

I downloaded that Reelwood 3d file. I don't have a bluray burner so I just took the directory and put it on a little USB hard drive and plugged that into my sony BD player. I can play it from that just like I had the disc in the drive. It's a nice video. Some really nice looking 3d for sure!

Question for you. do you leave your 3d settings alone like the depth for instance or is that something that you need to play with depending on the movie? I seem to get ghosting from time to time at certain times. I havn't watched all that much 3d yet though really to know what I'm doing.

Glad to hear you were able to get your hands on that 3D demo disc. I've watched it two times already!

As far as 3D settings go, I haven't touched them. My PJ was so impressive out of the box that I've hardly had to do anything. I watched the Masters yesterday for almost 5 hours and I swear the picture has improved since the day I got it.

VUDU is in the house!

Ever since I finished my room, I've wanted to look into VUDU. I finally got around to it this weekend. I've got an OPPO 103 so it just makes sense. Quick access button on my remote/iPad also is a convenient thing. I poked around for a couple of hours this weekend and especially like the fact that they are carrying 3D movies (to buy and for rent). Ran the test and I am plenty fast for 1080 HDX. Looked at a bunch of trailers and 2-min previews in 3D and they were fantastic.

My 9-year old daughter is dying to see Lemurs of Madagascar in 3D so I think that will be our first rental with VUDU this weekend. I just could not bring myself to buy a BR disc for a movie that is only 40 mins long. Nice to know that I can watch 3D flicks now without having to buy!

Very user-friendly interface while browsing and I was able to get around very quick. Well done VUDU.

Oh...and 5 stars for VUDU allowing me to link my Ultraviolet & Flixster library of movies with my VUDU account as well...

Interesting. I created a vudu account also but havn't used it. Looking on line at it now. I'm not seeing a ton of 3d titles for rent and most I've found are only to own. Is there a good way to browse only 3d titles? I'd probably only really use it for that feature because like you I'd rather not purchase every movie in 3d. So if there was something we wanted to see in 3d for fun it would be nice to rent it. Red box doesn't have 3d titles and Id' rather not have to go up to our local family video every time. This would be a handy way of doing it for sure.

Yeah, I am an old school type of guy. For some reason, I still love putting a BR disc in my OPPO...so Redbox has really been my go-to these days. However, as we all know, that comes with a wait on the release. AND, as you said, no 3D on Redbox. So I guess you could say I am slowly easing into streaming.

I don't watch a ton of 3D but it is nice to know that when I do want to watch/rent a 3D, I can. When I was on VUDU this weekend, I just put 3D in the search box and I think I saw something like 168 titles...
