I am currently setting up my HT.

I have a 5.1 system. (I have a 7.1 capable amp but not sure If I want to use my other two speakers, vintage speakers)

the Sub(not shown) is right behind the Back seat.(not shown)

So my question is

1) what do you guys think of this setup so far.

2) If I will use the 7.1 should those go into the back corners?

3) I did not test the sub at that position but that is as close to the center of the room I can get.

In future I am planning to make some kind of removable box so I can move the seats in two rows with the back row on the blocks.

There's real world vs what is recommended. If you get as close as you can to what is recommended you should be good to go.
