Ok, my Windows 7 box dosen't like the HDMI imput on the back of the reciever. When connecting Computer (HDMI) TO Receiver TO Plasma TV, Windows desktop is too large to fit monitor, also the sound card doesn't work?

Adjusting 'Screen Resolution' dosen't do the trick?

So,,,,,, as of now, Windows is connected directly to an HDMI imput on the Plasma TV with audio out RCA jacks to 'tape monitor'.

As for the screen resolution, you may have a setting on your TV (if yours is like mine) that prevents it from showing the full image. Try to check all your TV's settings and see if there's one you can use to shrink the size of the picture down.
