One other quick note about my wet bar, I got a magic chef bar fridge from home depot. It is a beverage cooler that is $500 regular price. I got it for $400.

Quick question as I'm 95% done the trim...for the trim going down the stairs and just and the very top that lays flat, do I leave a gap for the carpet or go right onto the wood? Here is a picture of it below

Hi Guys, sorry for lack of updates. Lots of progress made since my last update. I'll take more pictures tonight when I get home. Lots to see now and its now usable with the carpet installed
  • Wet bar countertop is installed
  • Carpets are completed and installed. The carpet we picked turned out nice for color. I wish the pile was thicker but its too late for that now. I'm still pleased with it.
  • DIY Screen touched up and completed
  • Door trims and baseboard all completed
  • Sofa - Getting delivered this afternoon
  • Denon 2313CI receiver setup and working with cable receiver and projector right now. Seems to pretty nice. I need to get network setup to it and also add the PS3. I'm waiting for delivery on a couple more HDMI cables
  • Front left and right speaker towers setup and sub setup and working (Paradigm 10" powered sub)
  • Shower stall all caulked and shower doors hung
  • Toilet and vanity installed and working
  • Window trims and sill. One window has the sill in but the other I haven't done yet as I found a leak. I had to pull out the current insulation to let it dry out. I'm hoping its a easy fix to find the leak. I'm thinking its somewhere outside near the top but not sure.
  • Bar backsplash- not started
  • Touchup baseboards and walls where there are nicks and bumps. Most of the touchups are from the crappy green tape for painting. I'd spend a bit more on better paint next time.
  • Caulk baseboards - not started. Will do this after touchups are done

Ok Here are some pictures. I've been too busy using my new basement instead of taking pictures. I only have a few things left to do (finish caulking baseboards, bar backsplash, build av unit rack, finish bedroom window trim, get new vanity light and mirror)

I'll provide more pictures as I do the rest.
