Hi Folks,

I'm working on finishing my basement. I have one large living area that is to be finished with carpet flooring and drywall ceiling. I'm looking to have a either a large tv, 80" LCD perhaps, or projector paired with a large screen in the range of 110". There isn't an ideal location for either. I'm looking for feedback with different ideas for the screen placement, seating position and corresponding speaker positions. I realize my request is seeking a number of specifics, but I'd be happy with just some general ideas as to what wall to use for example and if 5.1 or 7.1 recommended, etc.

I have attached a floorplan I drew up. The windows in the bottom left corner are actually near the top of the wall and are small. So the potential may exist for having a tv on that wall.

I suppose it's useful to mention what kind of seating I'd like. At a minimum, I would like a recliner for myself, in the best position of course smile.gif, and a couch for anyone else.

I'm open to all suggestions and any ideas you have to offer. Thanks!
