Which mount did you use, or would you recommend?

I mounted my 70 with Monoprice 6523. There is a review on that mount where someone used it for the 80 too. The low profile looks awesome with the large screens.

I bought this mount for my new 80" Sharp (monoprice)

6663 Adjustable Tilting Wall Mount Bracket for LCD LED Plasma (Max 165Lbs, 52~71inch) - Extra Wide - Black

I haven't put it up yet, need help - its a heavy TV! I will post when its done. The mount looks heavy duty enough, it will span across 3 studs

Thanks for sharing! I noticed that both of you guys are using a mount that supports a max size that is less than the actual size of the TV that you are mounting. Do you see much risks in doing that?

Also, how heavy are your TVs?

None of their mounts are spec'ed to over 60 or 70", I think they are just out of date. The mounting dimensions are the same on the 80" as the smaller models. My TV (LC-80LE844U) weighs 113lbs and the mount goes to 165lbs so it should be fine. You can bet I will take every precaution when I do the install - if it doesn't look right I will back off. I used their mount on my 60" sharp upstairs over a fireplace and it worked great.

The low profile mount I used on the 70 is rated for 200lbs. The 70in weighs like 68lbs so it is well within spec. The size guides Monoprice uses is based on the vesa mounting pattern. As long as the mounting bolts line up it is fine.
