Hello all,

I wanted to introduce myself and show you my Media/game room.
My name is Dan incase you didn't get that from my login. I have been working on my basement for a little over 8 years, and I'm glad to say its finally done. I started the project as soon as I found out my wife was pregnant with my son. I figured I would never get it done if I waited until after he was born. Plus my wife would have to let me finish it, as she says "don't start something your not going to finish".

Anyway, I don't have any shots before I started. Didn't think to do so... Darn. I started with bare Concrete walls, 1 outlet, and 6 bare light bulb holders! There was not even any HVAC there.
Here are a few shots after framing and insulation was done.

Then some drywall shots:

And now the finished shots. Sorry for the washed out lights...

So thats it for now. I plan to add a pool table, Pinball machine or possibly build a virtual pinball machine, maybe a poker table, who knows.

Thanks!

fantastic; a lot of great touches with those alcoves and archways!

It looks to me that your 5.1 setup has in-ceiling speakers for the rears? Do you mind me asking which speakers you chose?

Beautiful! Amazing job on this one! You should get some crazy lights for the ceiling tray above your couch.
