Hey guys,

Need a little help from those in the know...this is a rental so need to not damage it too much, will only be here for 12-18 months. PJ will mount near the smoke detector, screen at the end of the room, new sofa will go across the room.

Plan on buying a $200-$400 drop down screen in 2.35:1 and use the zoom method using my JVC RS40.

- what's a good ceiling mount for the RS40?
- I assume best way to run the power/HDMI is using a external box channel on the ceiling and down the wall? What are some good products to use?
- Screen ideas? I had a Carada Brilliant White which I liked but they don't do drops downs.

Any ideas welcome!!

So the screen is going over the window where the TV is, the couch will go across the room same as the screen? How about a shelf / furniture mount at the back of the room.. assuming you have enough zoom.. Then you don't have to do any damage..

That would be ideal...but the photo is taken only half way back into the room...behind me is the kitchen so the back wall is another 20' back from where the photo's taken...sorry should have mentioned that.

Yes, the screen will drop down over the TV and the sofa will be opposite it across the room...new sofa coming, the brown one is too long....

You could place some kind of cabinet or even an open shelving unit behind the couch, it may divide the space a bit but this is all about compromise..
