I have a small room that was built for for movies/games. It's 9x14 feet, one sofa, one TV. I have 4 lights mounted on the walls in each corner, they are 45W halogen bulbs. The fixtures only can accept 45W halogen bulbs and I thought this would be plenty for a smaller room like this. However, since the room is painted dark red it seems like I need something brighter. These bulbs also have a low lifetime, and are expensive.. so I think I might just want to get new lights/fixtures. The new bulbs must be able to be controlled by my dimmer light switch.

Any ideas? I really don't want to get 4x 75W bulbs since my electricity bill is already high, and these will be on nearly 24/7.

LEDs? Dimmable and pretty high Lumens per Watt ratio. 3 or 4 times that of halogen.

Do you know good place to buy home theater-type fixtures for LED bulbs? I live in IA and the local selection is really bad.

I also need a LED dimmer that has infrared apparently..
